Question 1

Which Cambridge hotel has the cheapest parking?

Accepted Answer

The Travelodge Cambridge Central offers the best-value paid parking in the city at just £7 per 24 hours in 2026, validated at reception. Premier Inn Cambridge North (Girton) goes one further with genuinely free parking when validated at the hotel. If free parking is your priority, the Girton location and Arundel House Hotel (free when booked direct) are the standout options, though both are well outside the city centre.

Question 2

Do any Cambridge hotels offer free parking?

Accepted Answer

Three hotels offer free parking under the right conditions. Premier Inn Cambridge North (Girton) provides free validated parking as standard, with no catches. Arundel House Hotel offers free parking only if you book directly with the hotel — book via a third-party platform such as Booking.com and it costs £18 per night. Travelodge Cambridge Central is not free, but at £7 per 24 hours it is the cheapest paid option in the city.

Question 3

Do any Cambridge hotels offer EV charging?

Accepted Answer

Premier Inn Cambridge North (Girton) has EV charging on site, and it is one of the few hotels in Cambridge to offer this alongside free parking. The Gonville Hotel does not have on-site EV charging, but points guests to the nearby Queen Anne Terrace multi-storey, which does. The Hilton City Centre explicitly does not offer EV charging on site.

Question 4

Which Cambridge city centre hotels have parking?

Accepted Answer

The Hilton Cambridge City Centre offers both self-park and valet parking at £35 per day, though whether the valet service is included in that figure or charged separately was unclear from the hotel's own website as of March 2026 — confirm before arrival. The University Arms and Graduate by Hilton both offer valet parking. The Gonville Hotel has on-site parking, but it is first-come, first-served and the entrance is tight. The ibis Cambridge Central Station has parking, but it is extremely expensive and the hotel itself advises against driving there.

Question 5

Is valet parking available at any Cambridge hotel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Both the University Arms and the Hilton Cambridge City Centre offer valet parking, though at both hotels the valet loop is tight and can back up during busy periods. The Graduate by Hilton also offers valet parking. At the University Arms in particular, arriving between 15:00 and 18:00 by car is not recommended — the entrance area is on one of the city's busiest pedestrian corners and the valet system can grind to a halt.

Question 6

What is the cheapest Cambridge hotel with parking close to the city centre?

Accepted Answer

Travelodge Cambridge Central is the strongest answer here, with parking at £7 per 24 hours in 2026 and a 10-minute walk to the train station. The Premier Inn Cambridge City East also offers paid on-site parking at budget rates. Both are honest budget options, though neither sits in what feels like central Cambridge — expect a functional retail-park environment rather than college spires.
