Question 1

Which Cambridge hotels offer free parking?

Accepted Answer

Two hotels in our Cambridge dataset offer free parking: Premier Inn Cambridge North (Girton) and Arundel House Hotel. Premier Inn's parking is unconditionally free when validated at reception, whereas Arundel House's free parking is only available if you book directly with the hotel — book through a third-party site and you'll pay £18 per night.

Question 2

Do any Cambridge hotels offer free EV charging?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Premier Inn Cambridge North (Girton) has EV charging available on site alongside its free car park. It is the only hotel in our Cambridge listings that combines free parking with EV charging. No other hotel in this category currently offers EV facilities.

Question 3

Is free parking available at Cambridge hotels close to the city centre?

Accepted Answer

Not really. Arundel House Hotel sits on the northern edge of the city centre and offers free parking when booked direct, but it is still a 20-minute walk from the main college district. Premier Inn Cambridge North has the most generous free parking, but it is a 35–40 minute bus ride from the city centre. Genuinely central Cambridge hotels typically charge £30–£45 or more per night for parking.

Question 4

What is the catch with free parking at Arundel House Hotel Cambridge?

Accepted Answer

The free parking only applies if you book directly with the hotel. If you book through a third-party platform such as Booking.com, parking costs £18 per night — that is £54 extra on a three-night stay. This is not prominently flagged on booking platforms, so always book direct if you are driving.

Question 5

Which Cambridge hotel with free parking is best for drivers arriving via the A14 or M11?

Accepted Answer

Premier Inn Cambridge North (Girton) is the clear choice. The A14 and M11 junction is just five to ten minutes away by car, with straightforward routing and no city centre traffic to negotiate. The free surface-level car park and on-site EV charging make it a practical base for motorists.

Question 6

Are there any Cambridge hotels with free parking and good views or surroundings?

Accepted Answer

Arundel House Hotel offers free parking (when booked direct) and a genuinely impressive outlook — mature trees, moored houseboats on the River Cam, and Jesus Green directly opposite the front door. Premier Inn Cambridge North has free parking and access to a large green space a short walk away, though the hotel itself sits on a busy trunk road with little immediate character.
