The Genting Hotel sits inside the Resorts World Birmingham complex, east of Birmingham city centre, adjacent to the NEC and within reach of Birmingham Airport. This is not a neighbourhood hotel. Birmingham International Station functions as the coach and bus hub for this area. National Express and other services use the wider NEC and Airport corridor. The connection into the complex from the station is the same flat, smooth approach noted above. If you are arriving by National Express to Birmingham, confirm your drop-off point and check whether it is the city-centre coach station or the airport/International station, as the two are very different journeys from here.

Who Is This Hotel Actually For?

This is the most obvious use case and the strongest one. The NEC is adjacent to Resorts World. You are as close as it is possible to be without actually sleeping in a hall. The distance from Digbeth, the Jewellery Quarter, Broad Street, and the city's restaurant and arts scene is real. You are in a purpose-built leisure complex east of the city, not in a neighbourhood with independent bars on the corner. Guests who arrive expecting an urban Birmingham experience and find a resort complex will be disappointed. The hotel is honest about what it is. Make sure your expectations match.

Food, Drink, and the On-Site Reality

The top restaurant option is the Genting Hotel itself. The Sky Bar and Restaurant is one minute away. Resorts World is destination-worthy for a drink. Costa Coffee is a six-minute walk. The picture that emerges is of a complex where you do not need to go anywhere else, and where the on-site options are genuinely good rather than just convenient. Hollywood Bowl sits within the development, adding a family-activity option that few hotels in the area can match.
